SEO -Country Manager - GERMANY

As the Germany Country Manager, you will develop and execute the online marketing strategy for one of our biggest international markets. You must be a self-starter, motivated by working with a high degree of independence to deliver against aggressive plans. Based in Germany, you will develop a close working relationship with our global headquarters in San Francisco and rely on back-office support in Holland. Local market knowledge and relationships, deep understanding of online marketing, project management experience, sharp analytics, and organizational skills are all essential to the success of this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development:
-Build out business network in Germany, including partners, agencies, and affiliates
-Pursue brand building partnerships and other business development and PR opportunities
-Become the subject matter expert on local e-commerce practices, staying abreast of market and competitive developments affecting the business

Marketing:
-Build an understanding of key customer segments, and develop products and communication ideas that target the needs of those segments
-Develop localized communications for key website assets, marketing e-mails and marketing collateral across all customer touch points, and translate communications as needed
-Partner with Search, Email and Affiliate teams to optimize each marketing channel based on the overall country market strategy
-Develop and manage against a calendar of country specific and regional online events, campaigns, and promotions

Product Management:
-Partner with Project Management, Creative Services and the Technology organization to maintain and enhance the site experience on an ongoing basis 
-Monitor traffic and drive conversion improvement on website
-Provide localization/customization requirements to maximize effectiveness of new website feature launches, including merchandising localization


REQUIREMENTS:
-7 to 10 years of online marketing experience in Germany
-UK market experience a plus
-Substantial experience required  in at least one of the following channels: SEM/SEO, E-mail, or Affiliate
-Product management, product marketing, business development or project management experience a plus
-Highly organized with strong project management experience
-Proficient with Microsoft Excel, exceptionally analytical, metrics driven
-Ability to grasp abstract issues and identify concrete solutions
-German fluency a must
-German advanced degree a must, additional MBA a plus
